Specimen labels

Of the smaller, bicoloured Dorylinae of the SWBP, Lioponera gilesi, distinctive in that the pale head contrasts with a dark body, is one of the more common Lioponera in woodlands around Perth. One record, possibly of this species, also comes from Ethel Creek in the Pilbara region. (Heterick 2009)
