- papuana. Amblyopone papuana Taylor, 1979: 828, figs. 5-8 (w.q.) NEW GUINEA (Papua New Guinea).
- Type-material: holotype worker, 29 paratype worker, 1 paratype queen.
- Type-locality: holotype Papua New Guinea: Morobe Dist., Bulolo, 15.ix.1970 (B.B. Lowery); paratypes: 28 workers, 1 queen with same data, 1 worker Papua New Guinea: Northern Dist., Kokoda, 44.v.1973 (P.M. Room).
- Type-depositories: ANIC (holotype); ANIC, BMNH, BPBM, DASF, MCZC, MHNG, ZMUC (paratypes).
- Combination in Stigmatomma: Yoshimura & Fisher, 2012a: 19;
