- Type-material: 4 syntype males.
- Type-locality: Tanzania (“Afrique orientale allemande”): Kilimanjaro, Kiboscho, 1400 m., ii.1904 (Ch. Alluaud).
- Type-depository: MNHN (perhaps also in NHMB).
- Santschi, 1914b: 66 (w.).
