- [Note: Shuckard, 1840b: 262, says “that it (mediatus) cannot belong to either of these genera” (Dorylus or Labidus). Westwood, 1842: 78, says that the holotype of mediatus was a male Mutilla, having been examined by Dr Erichson in the Royal Museum of Copenhagen.]
