- rufescens. Dolichoderus (Hypoclinea) bituberculatus var. rufescens Stitz, 1925: 123 (w.) BORNEO. [Unresolved junior primary homonym of rufescens Mann (Bolton, 1995b: 176).] Currently subspecies of thoracicus: Shattuck, 1994: 71.
