- Type-material: syntype workers (number not stated).
- Type-locality: Australia: Victoria, Warburton (F.E. Wilson).
- [Note: Brown, 1958g: 340, records that in conversation F.E. Wilson told him that the real type-locality of bidens was Cement Creek, “some miles up into the Warburton Range, away from the town of Warburton”.]
- Type-depositories: MCZC, MVMA.
