Identification

Hosoishi and Ogata (2012) - We have not been able to examine type-material of C. treubi apilis. Forel (1913) described the following features: (1) scape exceeding posterior corner of head by two times of the width of the scape; (2) the metanotal groove deep. It is impossible to judge the depth of the metanotal groove from the original description. The taxonomic status of this subspecies will remain uncertain until the type-material can be examined.
