- Type-material: 20 syntype workers, 2 syntype queens (one ergatoid).
- Type-localities: 6 workers Guinea (“French Guinea”): Nimba Mts, Mt Tô (M. Lamotte), 10 workers, 2 queens, Guinea: Mt Tô, B2.41, ravin 1 (M. Lamotte), 4 workers Guinea: Nimba Mts, Crête de Nion, 1300 m. (M. Lamotte).
- Type-depository: MNHN.
- Status as species: Bolton, 1995b: 160.
- Distribution: Guinea.
