- Type-material: syntype workers (number not stated, “several”).
- Type-locality: South Sudan (“Anglo-Egyptian Sudan”): W slopes Imatong Mts, Lotti Forest, 5.viii.1939, no. 1444 (N.A. Weber).
- Type-depositories: AMNH, MCZC (perhaps also USNM).
- Status as species: Bolton, 1995b: 156.
- Distribution: South Sudan.
