    • Type-material: holotype worker.
    • Type-locality: Democratic Republic of Congo (“Belgian Congo”): Uelle Dist., Koloka, nr Angu, vi.1911 (Schubotz).
    • Type-depository: Zoological Museum Hamburg (Stitz, 1916: 371).
    • [Note: Hamburg zoological museum was destroyed in World War II; but holotype may perhaps be in MNHU or ZMUH.]
    • Combination in C. (Sphaerocrema): Wheeler, W.M. 1922a: 848.
