  • turkanensis. Crematogaster (Acrocoelia) aegyptiaca var. turkanensis Santschi, 1935b: 271 (w.) KENYA.
    • Type-material: syntype workers (number not stated, “many”).
    • Type-locality: Kenya: Turkana desert, Kalodeke, st. 22, 20.i.1933 (R. Jeannel & P.A. Chappuis).
    • Type-depository: NHMB.
    • Subspecies of aegyptiaca: Bolton, 1995b: 164; Hita Garcia, et al. 2013: 209.
    • Distribution: Kenya.

Sharaf et al. (2019): The taxonomic condition of this species is relatively unclear due to the absence of any revisions in the regions in question, and we cannot predict the taxonomic status of C. aegyptiaca and its subspecies after being revised.
