Nomenclature

The following information is derived from Barry Bolton's Online Catalogue of the Ants of the World.

• sarita. Paedalgus saritus Bolton & Belshaw, 1993: 188, fig. 6 (w.) GHANA.
  • Type-material: holotype worker, 10 paratype workers.
  • Type-locality: holotype Ghana:Nkawanda, nr Nkawkaw, 12.xii.1991, sample 9, leaf litter, secondary forest (R. Belshaw); paratypes: 5 workers with same data, 1 worker with same data but sample 4, 3 workers with same data but sample 3, 1 worker Ghana: Atewa Forest Reserve, 24.iii.1992, sample 9, leaf litter, primary forest (R. Belshaw).
  • Type-depositories: BMNH (holotype); BMNH, MCZC, MHNG, NHMB, SAMC (paratypes).
  • Combination in Carebara: Fernández, 2004a: 235.
  • Status as species: Bolton, 1995b: 311.
