- Type-material: 1 syntype queen, ca 40 syntype males.
- Type-locality: Australia: Norfolk I., 300 ft, 28.vii.1939, “swarming” (I. McComish).
- Type-depository: BMNH.
- Combination in Carebara: Fernández, 2004a: 235.
- Subspecies of manni: Ettershank, 1966: 124.
