- hammoniae. Pheidologeton hammoniae Stitz, 1923: 157, fig. 2 (s.w.) NAMIBIA.
- Type-material: 2 syntype major workers, 25 syntype minor workers.
- Type-locality: Namibia (“German Southwest Africa”): Otjikoto, 20 km. W Tsumeb, 16.vi.1911 (W. Michaelsen).
- Type-depository: MNHU.
- Combination in Carebara: Fischer, et al. 2014: 72.
- Status as species: Ettershank, 1966: 119; Bolton, 1995b: 333.
- Distribution: Namibia.
