- Type-material: holotype major worker, 5 paratype minor workers.
- Type-locality: holotype Democratic Republic of Congo (“Belgian Congo”): 10 km. E Stanleyville (= Kisangani), 17.iii.1948 (N.A. Weber); paratypes with same data.
- Type-depository: AMNH.
