- Type-material: holotype worker, 2 paratype workers.
- Type-locality: holotype Bhutan: Samchi, 350-450 m., 7-11.v.1972, (Bhutan Expd. NHMB), 1972 (C. Baroni Urbani); paratypes with same data.
- Type-depository: NHMB.
- Status as species: Bolton, 1995b: 83; Akbar & Bharti, 2015: 7 (in key).
- Distribution: Bhutan.
