- messoroides. Aphaenogaster messoroides Dlussky, in Dlussky, Soyunov & Zabelin, 1990: 213, fig. 24 (w.m.) TURKMENISTAN.
- Type-material: holotype worker, paratype workers (number not stated), 2 paratype males.
- Type-locality: holotype Turkmenistan: Kopet Dag, vic. Kara-Kaly, Parkhai tract, 13-29.v.1984 (S.I. Zabelin); paratypes: workers with same data but 10.v.1984, 2 males 2.vi.1985 (from same nest).
- Type-depository: ZMUM.
- Status as species: Bolton, 1995b: 71.
- Distribution: Turkmenistan.
