    • Type-material: holotype(?) male.
    • Type-locality: New Guinea.
    • Type-depository: unknown, presumed lost.
    • [Note: this taxon was not mentioned by Donisthorpe, 1932c: 472-474, in his catalogue of F. Smith types, nor was it found in OXUM by Bolton (unpublished notes, ca 1975).]
    • Status as species: Smith, F. 1871a: 336; Dalla Torre, 1893: 8; Emery, 1910b: 31; Chapman & Capco, 1951: 16; Wilson, 1964a: 483; Bolton, 1995b: 60.
    • Distribution: New Guinea.
