    • Type-material: holotype male.
    • [Note: A. gibbosus is based on a specimen of A. certus Westwood, sensu Emery, 1889b: 486 (in text), misidentification.]
    • Type-locality: Indonesia: Sumatra (no further data).
    • Type-depository: MSNG.
    • Status as species: Emery, 1910b: 30; Chapman & Capco, 1951: 15; Wilson, 1964a: 482; Bolton, 1995b: 59.
    • Distribution: Indonesia (Sumatra).
    • Current subspecies: nominal plus ashaverus.
