Specimen Labels

The two members of the M. cephalotes species group found in WA, Myrmecia callima and Myrmecia hilli, have not been taken in the SWBP by Curtin University staff. Ants in this group can be distinguished from other Myrmecia by virtue of the non-pectinate tibial spur on their hind leg. (Heterick 2009)
