    • Type-material: 5 syntype males.
    • Type-localities: 3 males Egypt: Dakhla Oasis, 13.vi.1918 (Storey), 1 male Egypt: Derr, 16.iii.1917 (Adair), 1 male Sudan: Sennar, 25-27.ii.1914 (Ebner) (sent by Alfieri).
    • Type-depository: NHMB.
    • Subspecies of fuscovarius: Bolton, 1995b: 60.
    • Distribution: Egypt, Sudan.
