Specimen Labels

Aphaenogaster cardenai is restricted to caves and subterranean habitats in the Iberian Peninsula (Tinaut and Perez 2011; Ortuño et al. 2014) while Bracko et al. (2019) found a few scattered workers in Slovenia while digging in stony ground at a depth of approximately 50 cm.
