Do I Need to Create an Account and Log In?

No, everything on this site is freely available to everyone. However, there are advantages to creating an account. This is because we have three kinds of users.

Visitors: No account required. Public access is limited to viewing Antwiki content.

Contributor: Members of this group have an account that allows them to see everything and to edit Discussion pages. This means Contributors can add notes to existing pages but they cannot change or edit the main content of an existing page or create new pages.

Expert: Members of this group have full editorial access to all the content on the site. Editors can create new pages, edit existing pages and upload files (photos and pdfs). These users are the people who make Antwiki possible.

Why three levels of access? The first level makes it easy for visitors to read the site quickly and safely. The second level allows a select group of users contribute to Antwiki while making sure changes are not made to information provided and vetted by ant experts. The third level allows experts to contribute within areas where they have specialized knowledge. and make sure the information presented is of the highest quality.
