Biology

Associations with other Insects

Solenopsis virulens nests have been found harboring moth flies (Diptera: Psychodidae) by Pereira et al. 2015. The adult flies of Trichomyia myrmecophila, Quatiella truncata and Trichomyia annae were found in nest fragments of 12 S. virulens nests in Brazil.
