Specimen labels

Nothing is known about the biology of Polyrhachis strictifrons.

Identification

A member of the Polyrhachis armata species group.

Kohout (2008) - The single workers from Kalabat and Wolasi are the only specimens I have ever seen in addition to the types. Both specimens are very similar to the syntypes and the only noticeable difference relates to the petiole. The lateral petiolar spines in the modern specimens diverse more strongly from their bases and their intercalary teeth are shorter than those of the syntypes.
