Nomenclature

- humicola. Prionopelta humicola Terron, 1974: 115, figs. 1-3 (w.q.) CAMEROON.
- Type-material: holotype worker, 1 paratype queen.
- Type-locality: holotype Cameroon: Nsoung, Manengouba massif, W Nkongsamba, 1650 m., 7.xi.1971 (G. Terron); paratype: Cameroon: Nkolkomou (750 m., ca 15 km. W Yaoundé), 4.vi.1971, Berlese no. JG (G. Terron).
- Type-depository: CIRA.
- Status as species: Bolton, 1995b: 365.
- Distribution: Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea.
