- Type-material: holotype worker.
- Type-locality: Australia: New South Wales, Calga, iv.1956 (C. Mercovich).
- [Note: Brown, 1960a: 205, records that the holotype was badly damaged in transit and now lacks its head and anterior prothorax.]
- Type-depository: ANIC.
