- inquilina. Myrmecia inquilina Douglas & Brown, 1959: 13, fig. 1 (q.) AUSTRALIA (Western Australia).
- Type-material: holotype queen, 3 paratype queens.
- Type-locality: holotype Australia: Western Australia, 4 mi. NW Wagin, Badjanning Rocks, 23.iii.1955, “from mixed nest with M. vindex” (A. Douglas); paratypes: 2 queens with same data, 1 queen with same data but 26.iii.1955.
- Type-depositories: WAMP (holotype); MCZC, WAMP (paratypes).
- Status as species: Kutter, 1968b: 202; Taylor & Brown, 1985: 11; Taylor, 1987a: 44; Ogata, 1991a: 358; Bolton, 1995b: 272.
- Distribution: Australia.
