  • crassicornis. Belonopelta crassicornis Emery, 1897d: 553 (w.) NEW GUINEA (Papua New Guinea).
    • Type-material: holotype queen.
    • Type-locality: Papua New Guinea (“N.G. Merid.”): Kapa Kapa (L. Loria).
    • [Note: Wilson, 1958d: 353, writes that the holotype bears the data, “Moroka, 1300 m., N. Guinea S E, vii-ix.’93 (Loria)”. He notes that this contradicts the originally cited type-locality.]
    • Type-depository: MSNG.
    • Combination in Pachycondyla (Pseudoponera): Emery, 1901a: 46;
    • combination in Euponera (Trachymesopus): Emery, 1911d: 86;
    • combination in Trachymesopus: Wilson, 1958d: 353;
